Worship
MCC Hartford’s style of worship is laid back, yet intentional. We always make room for the Holy Spirit to move among us, sometimes bringing laughter or surprises. We sing together as a congregation, with accompaniment by the piano or organ. We hear readings from scripture and contemporary sources. Sermons are relevant to our community and the issues of the day. Each Sunday, we celebrate communion, which is open to everyone, no exceptions.
People dress in a variety of ways, from casually in shorts and t-shirts to their “Sunday best.” We welcome it all. Children are welcome to be in our worship services, and we (and God) delight in their presence.
